Now, a coalition of environmental groups, labor unions, and progressive organizations has released a new platform that could finally unite the left around a common climate agenda.
The Equitable and Just National Climate Platform, released this week, brings together more than 70 organizations representing millions of members. It represents a significant shift in how the environmental movement approaches climate policy.
Instead of focusing narrowly on reducing emissions, the platform puts environmental justice and workers rights at the center of the climate agenda.
