The Platform for a Just Climate is one of the only national coalitions across the movement to have an inclusive table to foster solutions-driven conversations, determine areas of alignment, and create a path toward meaningful change. Our unique model builds power through an equitable coalition of grassroots environmental justice groups and national green groups, coming together to advance our campaigns through these key strategies:
Policy Research & Advocacy
Our advocacy campaigns are rooted in policy and research expertise on how we can address environmental inequities and injustices.

We work to elevate policy champions and voices from communities on the frontlines of climate change and toxic pollution.

Drawing on our successful history of environmental justice policy progress, the Platform for a Just Climate is working toward the implementation of Our Platform, which lays out our vision for the just and equitable climate policies our communities need and deserve.
The Platform for a Just Climate is a space for environmental justice and national partners to align on policy frameworks, receive technical assistance and share research findings. We work toward just climate futures through policy research and advocacy for community-driven climate solutions.
We engage and educate decision makers to advocate for policies to address environmental racism and injustice. Our advocacy campaigns are rooted in policy and research expertise on how we can address environmental inequities and injustices.
Narrative Powerbuilding
Through strategic communications and storytelling, the Platform for a Just Climate is seeding narratives for just climate futures and mobilizing counternarratives to attacks on environmental justice. Together, we are building narrative power to help win the visionary policies we urgently need to address our country’s health, climate and cost of living crisis and transition to the healthy, equitable and just climate future our communities deserve.
Our Coalition Members and Signatories act together as a narrative ecosystem that can align on messaging and amplify storytelling, building our collective narrative capacity and power. Together, we work to elevate policy champions and voices from communities on the frontlines of climate change and toxic pollution, so that we can win community-led solutions that leave no community behind.
Coalition Building & Engagement
The Platform for a Just Climate fosters deeper relationship-building and transparent dialogue among coalition members while navigating differences and tension points. We are building collective power through our coalition of 18 member organizations and our robust and growing network of over 300 signatory organizations.
We engage our coalition members in collective decision-making through coalition workgroups, caucuses and leadership-level meetings. We also engage partners in advocacy and narrative campaigns through coalition resources, webinars and our annual Advocacy Day.
We continue to grow our coalition and network of signatories and invite organizations who align with Our Platform to join us.
